DJW started in 2015 with a pen and piece of A5 paper, lined.

It started with just a wild idea in a little flat in Acklam.

Daniel-John Williams was living in Manchester working for his former agent and coming home to Teesside at the weekends to be with his partner (Managing Director of DJW TALENT LTD) Emma Louise Teasdale and enough was enough.

Miserable in Manchester, sick of saying goodbye to Emma every Monday morning at 5am Daniel decided to come home and set up The DJW school of Acting in Teesside. With only £50 to spare the leap of faith seemed like madness when he booked out the studio in Stockton and invited the local newspaper THE EVENING GAZETTE to come and run an editorial and take some photos. August 2015.

Approximately 25 people turned up and that was the start of DJW. Daniel had his headshot taken, was interviewed and the next day.

4 Children - 8 Youths - 15 Adults was all it took to convince Daniel that DJW had a place in the world.

The School continues to grow.

The DJW School of Acting started with some mixed groups on a Sunday and slowly, LAMDA classes and Masterclasses were introduced on Thursdays at ACKLAM HALL, Middlesbrough which is where DJW TALENT LTD now have their offices.

The Agency started by accident. DJW TALENT was born because of demand for talent from local film makers and some emerging talent asking for industry advice. Established actors were coming to Daniel and asking him to set up an Agency. So blindly, he did. It was the best decision he could have made. DJW TALENT LTD was born in April 2017 and Emma Louise Teasdale became Managing Director and Agent.

Some very well known TV personalities joined the Agency and Daniel helped open doors for them too, things were going well... So the office at Acklam Hall was brought into the mix.

DJW TALENT has been persistent and consistent in obtaining opportunities for many of their clients and long may it continue. Weekly workshops are offered in order to ensure that actors are being exercised in the creative realm and so that they stand a fighting chance when auditioning for genuine TV, Film and Theatre opportunities.

Late 2017, DJW introduced Professional DJW approved Headshots, Self tapes and Showreels and this was to further enhance the chances of local actors being taken seriously by an ever demanding industry.

In 2018 DJW TALENT LTD would like to expand and are looking for people to come forward and tell us how we could expand the brand' and how you might like to be part of it.

We are in talks at the moment with a very well established and well connected Television and Film Actor to open an intense screen acting course in london and DJW are looking at opening in Newcastle.
